BELLOW FABRICS

If machine tools vary widely in shape, size and process, they all have in common the need to protect their guide ways or other high precision components from abrasive dust particles or liquid coolant. DICKSON PTL has designed a range of bellow fabrics particularly adapted for these types of applications.

FUNCTIONAL COVER FOR MACHINE TOOLS

PVC BELLOWS : FOR STANDARD APPLICATION

Our PVC coated fabrics are recommended for covers having to deal with dust particles or occasional liquid splashes . The high density polyester base cloth confers an overall high mechanical strength while our dip coating process ensures water tightness to the material. The fabrics present good folding memory and good weldability with whether HF or Heat welding technologies. All our PVC materials comply with the REACH and RoHs environmental directives.

PUR BELLOWS : FOR HEAVY DUTY APPLICATIONS

Our polyurethane coated high density fabrics are particularly recommended since the reticulation applied on the surface confers a higher chemical resistance compared to other coated materials (PVC, TPU). It will withstand cutting oil, coolant splashes without suffering deterioration or damage that would compromise the integrity of the cover. The PUR (Polyurethane Reticulated) also has a much higher temperature resistance than PVC, therefore allowing it to be used in continuous operating temperature up to 150°C.

ARAMID BELLOWS : FOR IMPACT-HEAVY APPLICATIONS

We have developed a PUR coated para-aramid fabric. Because the fiber used in this base cloth is the same commonly used in bulletproof vests, this material can withstand continuous exposure to high velocity chips.
