Innovations
Automobile exhaust gas ducting
Problem: the ducting leading from the exhaust pipe to the pollution testing machine has to withstand high temperatures. It also has to be flame retardant and weldable.
Solution: a HT Polyester basecloth gives good mechanical strength. A specially formulated Polyurethane coating
Meltex seaming tapes
Problem: stopping rain from penetrating convertible car soft tops is a technical challenge.
Solution: by taking a Polyamide basecloth and coating it with our Meltex hotmelt, we ensure perfect water tightness.
Aircraft Engine Inlet covers
Problem: a customer working for Airbus required a cover that resisted all types of weather, was flame retardant to FAR 25 and was not affected by hydraulic oil (Skydrol).
